台"立法院"正副"院长"穿戏服新春团拜
Presidents of Taiwan legislature dress in puppet costumes to wish people happy New Year

二月十二日，农历正月初六。台湾各界结束新春休假，开始上班。
“立法院”新当选的院长王金平、副院长曾永权齐聚工作人员，向同仁拜年。
他们穿上传统布袋戏服，王金平扮演 “一页书”，这个角色是象征正道的精神指标；曾永权 “叶小钗”，象征一个耿直专一、守信重诺的侠客。
On Feb 12, people in Taiwan returned to work after the New Year’s holiday.
The president and vice president of the legislature held a New Year’s party for their staff to wish everyone a happy new year.
They wore traditional puppet costumes which represent justice, uprightness and faith.

世界体型最小健美运动员身高仅84厘米
The smallest bodybuilder in the world is only 84cms tall

身高只有84厘米的印度人埃迪亚是世界上体型最小的健美运动员。
由于体型小巧，埃迪亚被当地人称为“罗密欧”。
别看埃迪亚个头小，他的力气却非常大，能轻松的举起1.5公斤重的哑铃。
与其他侏儒不同的是，埃迪亚虽然个头矮小，但是他身体各个部位却长的非常成比例——他的头围38.1厘米，胸围50.8厘米。
他希望可以成为娱乐明星。
The 84-cm-tall Indian Eddia is the smallest bodybuilder in the world.
He is called “Romeo” by local people because of his small figure.
But despite his size, he can lift 1.5-kilo.
Unlike other dwarfs, Eddia is not out of proportion to the size of the body, with his head measuring 38.1 cm and a chest circumference of 50.8 cm.
He hopes to be an entertainment star one day.

Yao Ming’s fans cheer Rockets in the battle against Portland

2月12日火箭在主场95-83战胜开拓者后，豪取7连胜，姚明无疑是大功臣。
在近来的7场比赛中姚明场均得到22.3分、10.9个篮板、以及1.1个盖帽，火箭队也豪取7连胜，重回西部季后赛的竞争行列中。
此役比赛姚明一共出战37分钟，贡献全队最高的25分，此外还有7个篮板球入账。
连战连捷立下汗马功劳的姚明享受到了休斯敦球迷给予他的一份难得的“特殊褒奖”——MVP的呼声。
At Feb 12th’s game, the Houston Rockets with help from Yao Ming won their seventh straight scoring 95-83 over the Portland Trail Blazers.
Yao played for 37 minutes and finished with 25 points and 7 rebounds.
The Houston fans were extremely excited and cheered for Yao.

British singer Amy Winehouse received great honors in Grammy Awards

全球音乐人和乐迷期待的第五十届格莱美颁奖盛典10日晚举行。
缺席颁奖典礼的的英国女歌手艾米•怀恩豪斯(AmyWinehouse)席卷五项大奖，成为当晚最耀眼的歌星。
凭借在欧美乐坛倍受好评的专辑《BacktoBlack》，艾米不但斩获“最佳流行女歌手”、“最佳流行演唱专辑”两项流行类重要奖项，更是拿下“年度最佳唱片”、“年度最佳新人”、“年度最佳单曲”这三项份量极重的综合类大奖。只可惜在“年度最佳专辑”的角逐中留下遗憾。
The 50th Grammy Awards ceremony was held on Feb 10.
The absent British singer Amy Winehouse won 5 awards.
Thanks to her highly praised album “Back to Black”, Amy got five awards including RECORD OF THE YEAR, SONG OF THE YEAR, POP VOCAL ALBUM, FEMALE POP VOCAL PERFORMANCE and NEW ARTIST.
